OutLoud Dallas awarded the Eisemann Edge Grant to create a groundbreaking immersive theatrical experience.

Dallas, Texas – July 16, 2024 – Local arts organization, OutLoud Dallas, was named the 2024 recipient of the prestigious Eisemann Edge grant at the Communities Foundation of Texas through a competitive application process. OutLoud received $100,000 to support the creation of See Me, an innovative theatrical experience and exhibition that examines how technology impacts human connection.

This groundbreaking project immerses audiences in the stories of young people from across DFW, bringing their voices to life using cutting edge technology, projections, and holograms.

OutLoud has assembled a team of acclaimed artists and designers led by Chicago-based director, Ruben Carrazana, to devise this original production, infused with the stories of young people from across the city.

“All of our work at OutLoud centers around asking young people, who needs to hear your voice and what do they need to hear you say?” says co-founder, Jeffery Moffitt.  “See Me” provides space for young people to answer these questions and creates a larger dialogue in the fabric of the community narrative.

Rehearsals with the actors and artistic team working on the project will begin in August at OutLoud’s recently completed Youth Arts Center in the Design District.

See Me will premiere at the Eisemann Center for the Performing Arts in the Bank of America Theater on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 8:00 pm. Performances will run through Saturday, October 5, 2024.
